As a seasoned gamer and Marvel movies enthusiast with over two decades of comic book lore under my belt, I can’t help but express my mixed feelings about Hugh Jackman’s latest Instagram post from the set of Deadpool 3. The man is an absolute legend as Wolverine, no doubt about it, but his footwear choice left me scratching my head and questioning our friendship.
People who have been following the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) for quite some time are aware that it’s continually expanding, appearing in theaters and streaming via Disney+. The newest addition was “Deadpool & Wolverine“, which shattered records and featured Hugh Jackman reprising his role as Wolverine. I’m thrilled about Jackman’s comments on “Deadpool 3“, but I can’t get behind wearing socks with Crocs. My apologies, pal.
Deadpool & Wolverine has been wildly successful in theaters, with fans assuming that the two title characters will heavily factor into upcoming Marvel movies. While Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman have a faux feud, you can tell there’s a lot of love shared between the two A-listers. Case in point: Jackman’s Instagram video, where he was seen crying as wrap speeches were given for the threequel. But I’ve got an issue with his choice of footwear. Check out the post below

It seems like Hugh Jackman appeared quite emotional during his speeches, possibly because the wrapping up of Deadpool and Wolverine was delayed due to the Writers Guild strikes. I can’t help but wonder if I should message the X-Men legend and ask, “What are those feelings?”
Frankly speaking, I don’t have a strong affinity for Crocs as a rule. Their design doesn’t appeal to me, but what really puts me off is seeing someone wearing socks inside them. Even with Jackman’s muscular physique and timeless charm, that particular footwear choice doesn’t sit well with my aesthetic sensibilities.
In this engaging video from the set, Hugh Jackman’s footwear was less than perfect, but it was another costume decision that had fans in a frenzy: the long-anticipated yellow Wolverine suit. Comic book enthusiasts were thrilled to witness Jackman donning this comics-accurate outfit, and theaters erupted with excitement as he put on the mask during the spectacular final battle of Deadpool 3.
Leaving footwear out of the discussion, Jackman seamlessly resumed his role for Deadpool 3, continuing the storyline post Logan’s sorrowful finale. Despite having planned his departure as Wolverine, he found himself drawn to be a part of Ryan Reynolds’ adult-themed superhero series.
In the finale of Deadpool & Wolverine, our heroes found their blissful ending within Wade’s world, and surprisingly, X-23 became part of the family. Given the film’s box office triumph, it leaves one curious about whether or not this threesome of superheroes might reappear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) again. It’s likely that Kevin Feige and his team will capitalize on this success, as well as the fervor among fans, considering the underperformance of movies like Ant-Man 3 and The Marvels at the box office. The prospect of seeing them in a large-scale crossover film such as Avengers: Doomsday is exhilarating; however, technically they belong to another universe altogether. With the Multiverse Saga unfolding, who knows what might transpire?
