Christina Haack, an exceptional interior designer and house flipper, has been a prominent figure in the TV industry for more than a decade. She co-hosted the highly successful show “Flip or Flop” with Tarek El Moussa for 10 seasons, concluding in 2022. Since then, she’s ventured into other projects to expand her professional horizons. However, recently, she announced that both her third marriage and one of her HGTV shows have ended their runs.
Which Of Christina Haack’s HGTV Shows Has Ended?
Despite starting her reign on HGTV back in 2013, Christina Haack has successfully expanded her tenure to appear on various shows within the popular real-estate and home design network. She launched ‘Christina on the Coast’ in 2019, which notably delved into aspects of her relationship with her then-second husband Ant Anstead. This series is currently in its fifth season, but during a recent interview on Jeff Lewis Live, she announced that ‘Christina in the Country’ has concluded after two seasons.
For those who might not know, “Christina in the Country” was Haack’s second solo show that premiered in 2023, following her marriage to Josh Hall and her family’s move to Tennessee. They eventually bought a farm there, and the series documented their journey as well as Haack’s mission to help clients realize their dream homes in this new part of the country.
What Did Christina Haack Say About Her New Show, The Flip Off?
Viewers might be disappointed that Haack’s Tennessee series is not coming back, but upon reflection, it could indeed be logical. Though she’s been filming “Christina on the Coast” since her divorce and child custody battle with Anstead, who was also part of that show, her work on “Country” seemed to focus more on Hall and her family life and collaborations with him compared to her other solo project.
It’s common knowledge now that Haack and Hall filed for divorce in July 2024, which created a significant hurdle in their plans to collaborate with Haack’s first ex, El Moussa, and his wife Heather Rae on the house flipping competition show “The Flip Off” (airing in the 2025 TV schedule). Although they decided to carry on filming without him, the series will incorporate segments depicting their strained relationship and eventual split that occurred during production. When Jeff Lewis mentioned that “The Flip Off” is more of a reality series due to its focus on Haack’s personal life, she replied that it represents a refreshing departure.
Over the course of this project, I’ve found myself utterly captivated by every single edit. It stands out as the most engaging and meaningful work I’ve been involved in thus far. The experience has been incredibly enjoyable, raw, and genuine – a true testament to its authenticity. Initially, it was intended to feature Tarek and his wife Heather, along with myself and my former spouse Josh. However, we collaborated only a handful of times before parting ways. Nonetheless, the show persevered, and I believe its quality significantly improved without him.
Later on, Haack mentioned that her design partner stepped into Hall’s role on the series, and furthermore, this was the first project she had been involved in where filming occurred continuously. To put it simply, she stated that they were always shooting.
In my previous productions, it’s always been about stop and start, cut, and editing out the best parts because the final product is a representation of the production process itself. However, in this new project, they seem to just keep rolling, capturing those genuine moments between cast, crew, and clients that don’t often make it to the screen. I believe this approach gives a more authentic portrayal of what truly happens during filming.
Indeed, it seems that the upcoming show on HGTV titled “The Flip Off” promises an exciting peek into Haack’s actual experiences, airing on January 29.
