Jacquemus Opens Its First London Boutique

As a seasoned gamer and fashion enthusiast with a penchant for unique experiences, I must admit that the opening of the Jacquemus London boutique has piqued my interest. Having traversed the digital landscapes of GTA V’s Los Santos and Red Dead Redemption 2’s Frontier, the allure of stepping into a physical space designed by OMA, reminiscent of an art gallery in the heart of Mayfair, is undeniably enticing.

After debuting a Jacquemus store in New York, designer Simon Porte Jacquemus establishes his label’s inaugural flagship store in the bustling London city. The prime location for this new venture is nestled within the heart of Mayfair and boasts an impressive space that was once an art gallery, sprawling across four floors.

332 square meters in size, the interiors have been crafted by OMA together with Jacquemus, maintaining the designer’s affection for the Mediterranean. The conventional Victorian architecture inside is modernized, creating a sanctuary away from the busy streets of central London. Enhancing the brand’s experience in London, the classic stone facade now meets a contemporary, open-plan design that combines sharp, angular features with softer, curving walls.

In the store, you’ll find Jacquemus’ most sought-after leather items and accessories showcased on walls that recess inwards. The lower level is divided into separate areas for men’s and women’s clothing, while the upper level serves as a private VIP lounge with its own entrance. This exclusive area pays homage to Jacquemus’ origins in Provence, France, through various design elements. Neutral hues are accented by Jacquemus’ distinctive banana yellow, enhancing comfortable seating arrangements.
