Ninety-year-old Nirmal Kapoor, mother of actor Anil Kapoor, has sadly passed away following age-related health complications in Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. Her funeral took place today with immediate family and friends present, including daughters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor, as well as Shikhar Pahariya, who stood by them through this challenging period.
In the video, Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor, clearly moved, are shown strolling together with their hands joined. Shikhar Pahariya is also present, walking beside them. Remarkably, despite having a cast on his injured arm, Shikhar stood by them, providing comfort and support to the sisters as they navigated through their sorrowful times.
Another video also shows Shikhar walking behind Janhvi Kapoor, to offer her silent support.
Apart from Arjun Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Boney Kapoor, Karan Johar, Sanjay Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor, Anshula Kapoor, Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor, and many more family members, they all attended the funeral to express their condolences.
Beyond these notables, individuals such as Karan Johar, Rani Mukerji, Anupam Kher, and more joined in paying their last respects to Nirmal Kapoor.
For those not in the know, Nirmal Kapoor married the late film producer Surinder Kapoor. Together they had four children: Anil, Reena, Boney, and Sanjay Kapoor. Notably, she is the grandmother of several famous Bollywood stars like Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Jahaan Kapoor, among others.
Recently, just a few short days ago, I was overjoyed to celebrate the 90th birthday of the extraordinary Nirmal Kapoor! My dear brother Anil shared heartfelt memories on social media, reminiscing about “90 years of love, strength, and selfless sacrifices.” Every day, your presence adds an abundance of joy and positivity to our lives.
