As a die-hard DC Universe fan, I can hardly contain my excitement! After years of waiting, Jason Momoa is officially returning to our beloved universe, and this time he’s not just riding the waves as Aquaman. He’s stepping into the boots of another iconic character – Lobo!
I remember vividly the days when I would pore over comic books, dreaming of seeing these characters brought to life on the big screen. Momoa’s passion for Lobo was evident even before he donned the trident as Aquaman. His Instagram post, a nod to his earlier interview, fills me with joy and anticipation. It feels like a testament to the power of dreams coming true.
The cast for “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow” is shaping up quite nicely, with Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El, Craig Gillespie at the helm, and Ana Nogueira penning the screenplay based on the comics by Tom King and Bilquis Evely. The addition of Matthias Schoenaerts as villain Krem of the Yellow Hill and Eve Ridley as Ruthye Mary Knolle only adds to the intrigue.
I’ve always had a soft spot for Lobo, that intergalactic bounty hunter with a twisted sense of humor. I can’t wait to see Momoa embody this antihero, bringing his signature swagger and charisma to the role. And if you think about it, who else could make a line like “Hello? It’s the perfect role” sound so badass?
As for a joke to lighten the mood, I’ll leave you with this: They say Lobo is so tough that he can kill a bat in one punch. But let’s be honest, even Lobo wouldn’t stand a chance against Jason Momoa when it comes to playing iconic DC characters! Bring on “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow” – I can hardly wait!
It’s confirmed that actor Jason Momoa will rejoin the DC Universe. Although his time as Aquaman has concluded, a fresh tale unfolds since Momoa has agreed to portray the anti-hero Lobo in the upcoming series Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.
In a new start for the DC Universe, “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow” is the second film being rebooted by co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran, following the highly anticipated “Superman” starring David Corenswet. The main character, Kara Zor-El, is portrayed by Milly Alcock, with Craig Gillespie directing the movie. Ana Nogueira penned the screenplay, inspired by the comic books of Tom King and Bilquis Evely. Apart from Momoa and Alcock, other characters in the film include Matthias Schoenaerts as the antagonist Krem of the Yellow Hill, and Eve Ridley as Ruthye Mary Knolle.
Jason Momoa shared on Instagram that he’s finally getting the chance to play the character he’s always wanted: Lobo from DC Comics. He mentioned in an interview during the press tour for Aquaman 2 that he’s been a fan of Lobo and has long desired to portray him, stating it’s “the perfect role.” In his post, Momoa added the caption “They called,” suggesting that he’s officially rejoining DC Studios to make this dream come true.
