In the upcoming movie, Jewel Thief, actors Saif Ali Khan, Kunal Kapoor, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Nikita Dutta will soon appear together on screen. As the release date approaches, the cast is actively involved in promoting the film. Notably, during a recent chat, Kunal referred to Saif as being a bit of a challenge while working together.
In a recent chat with FilmyGyan, Jaideep Ahlawat shared that working on Jewel Thief was lively and enjoyable, yet there were moments when they felt fatigued. Nikita Dutta echoed similar sentiments, enjoying the set’s atmosphere. To lighten up the discussion, Kunal Kapoor confessed to experiencing bouts of solitude during filming.
He shared that he often felt alone since he was pursuing each character individually in the movie, whereas the rest of the cast collaborated as a single team throughout the filming process. Interestingly, Kunal pointed out that he filmed his scenes independently, but then added humorously that if needed, he’d help clean up, pick up cups, and handle any other tasks on set.
Beyond that point, as our interaction persisted, Kunal playfully jabbed at Saif Ali Khan during a question about our shared work experience. In response, I admitted, “He was quite the challenge. Working with him wasn’t always smooth sailing. He would frequently arrive late, and when he did show up, he often forgot his lines, which meant we had to wait while he memorized them again. Then, take after take.
In response to Kunal’s comments, Nikita and Jaideep couldn’t help but laugh out loud. The actress playfully pointed out that since Khan doesn’t use social media, he wouldn’t see Kunal’s comment. She added humorously that if her jesting remark made the headlines, Saif would find out about it only when it was printed in the newspaper.
Under the guidance of directors Robbie Gulati and Kookie Gulati, the upcoming movie Jewel Thief stars Saif Ali Khan, Kunal Kapoor, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Nikita Dutta in significant roles. This production, supported by Siddharth Anand and Mamta Anand, is set to premiere on Netflix on April 28, 2025.
