JID Drops Off “31 (FREESTYLE)”

As a devoted fan of JID and someone who’s been following his journey since his breakthrough in 2017, I must say that his recent freestyle tracks have been a breath of fresh air. The raw energy and lyrical dexterity he showcases in “31 (FREESTYLE)” is nothing short of captivating. His ability to weave complex narratives with such ease is truly commendable, reminding me of the good old days when rap was more about storytelling than just boasting.

2024 has been relatively subdued for JID in terms of his solo work so far, with him keeping a low profile when it comes to his individual releases and only popping up occasionally for select collaborations. The one solo track he’s released this year, titled “30 (FREESTYLE),” came out on New Year’s Day. However, there might be new music on the horizon as JID has followed up “30” with another freestyle called “31 (FREESTYLE).

Currently, the song titled “31 (FREESTYLE)” is only available on YouTube, and it hasn’t been released on any digital streaming platforms yet. JID collaborated with fellow Atlanta artist Hollywood Cole for the track’s production, and they shot an intriguing music video in Saudi Arabia to go along with it.
