Shannon Amos posted on Instagram, “Instead of a time for remembering and rejoicing, we’re finding it hard to cope with the tumultuous feelings and doubts stirred by his demise. But there’s a sense of tranquility in understanding that my father has now found freedom.

In a November 2023 article, The Hollywood Reporter revealed the bitter dispute between Amos’ children regarding their father’s care and inheritance, with Shannon Amos alleging elder abuse against her brother K.C., an accusation he refuted.
