Justin Long, Jermaine Fowler, CM Punk Starring in Horror Thriller ‘Night Patrol’ (Exclusive)

As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for gritty, action-packed indie horror films, the news of Night Patrol has me absolutely thrilled! With Justin Long, Jermaine Fowler, and RJ Cyler leading the charge, this film promises to be an edge-of-the-seat experience that I can’t wait to immerse myself in.

Justin Long, Jermaine Fowler, and RJ Cyler headline the cast of “Night Patrol,” a chilling independent horror movie directed by and co-written by Ryan Prows.

David S. Goyer and Keith Levine are overseeing production under their Phantom Four label. Joining them is Josh Goldbloom, who has been involved with recent horror films such as V/H/S. James Harris and Mark Lane of Tea Shop Films (known for 47 Meters Down) are also part of the production team. The movie recently completed its main filming in Los Angeles this week.

In this production, Dermot Mulroney and WWE star CM Punk play significant characters. Additionally, Freddie Gibbs from “Down With The King”, YG known for “White Boy Rick”, Flying Lotus of “Ash”, Jon Oswald from “Lowlife” and Nicki Micheaux, also in “Lowlife”, complete the ensemble cast.

In the movie “Patrol”, an LAPD officer named Fowler finds himself compelled to set aside his past conflicts with local street gangs, as he uncovers a shocking truth: a police task force they’ve been working alongside has been hiding a terrible secret that threatens the safety of the housing projects where he was raised.

In this production, Long takes on the role of the officer’s colleague, joining the night shift team by virtue of a family connection. Cyler embodies the officer’s sibling, who happens to witness things he shouldn’t. Mulroney is cast as Long’s character’s grandfather, a sergeant with a history of hidden truths. Lastly, Punk completes the ensemble as the sergeant’s ruthless confidant.

Prows teamed up with Shaye Ogbonna (known for Fight Night), Tim Cairo (Off Ramp), and Jake Gibson (He Bled Neon) to write the script. This quartet had previously joined forces on the script for Prows’ initial directorial project, Lowlife, which was distributed by IFC Midnight in 2018. Patrol marks Prows’ second directorial venture.

The audience might find this film challenging due to its intensity. Speaking about the production process, Prows stated, ‘To bring this script to life with this talented cast, on location in Los Angeles, after such a long journey, is more than just a professional achievement – it’s a dream come true.’

The film is eyeing a 2025 release.

XYZ Films takes on the role of executive producer and manages global distribution, while Bondit Media Capital provides financing. For Bondit, Matthew Helderman, Luke Taylor, and Grady Craig serve as executive producers.

Recently, Fowler featured in FX’s “A Murder in a World’s End” and shared screen time with Zac Efron in the comedic series on Prime Video titled “Ricky Stanicky.” Currently, he is represented by United Talent Agency (UTA) and Entertainment 360.

Long recently starred in horror-tinged series Goosebumps for Disney+ and is repped by IAG.

Recently, Cyler’s acting work has been featured in “The Book of Clarence” and “The Harder They Fall.” This talented actor is represented by both UTA and Entertainment 360.

More recently, Mulroney, represented by Paradigm, has been seen in “Scream VI” as well as Marvel’s “Secret Invasion,” and earlier this year, he spent some time working on “Chicago Fire.

Punk is one of the biggest names in wrestling, with his “feud” with fellow fighter Drew McIntyre being a big storyline on the circuit this year. He made his acting debut with Girl on the Third Floor in 2019. Punk is repped by Paradigm.
