17 artists, including Hoshi and Woozi (HxW), as well as members from girl groups IVE and NMixx and boy groups Zerobaseone and P1Harmony, are the first to be scheduled for KCON L.A., according to a recent announcement by CJ ENM on Monday.
The top global K-pop festival, KCON, will make its comeback at the Los Angeles Convention Center and Crypto.com Arena for a three-day extravaganza. This event offers local K-Pop enthusiasts an unmissable opportunity to witness multiple beloved acts performing together. Traditionally, daytime events have taken place at the convention center, followed by nighttime concerts at the arena for those with tickets.
This year, KCON L.A. will expand its space to “event areas” in order to offer more activities and create a more engaging experience, as stated in a press release. The overarching theme for KCON 2025 is the “Klover’s Club Fair,” inspired by a four-leaf clover and designed to bring good fortune and happiness to participants.
This year’s festival is set to bring back multiple stages such as the Artist Stage, Meet and Greet area, X Stage, and M Countdown (a stage named after MNet’s music program). The Artist Stage and Meet and Greet zone will provide fans with an opportunity to interact closely with their favorite artists, while the X Stage will highlight upcoming talents. Details about the specific schedule for each stage have not been disclosed yet.
Besides HxW, IVE, NMixx, P1Harmony, Zerobaseone, KCON L.A.’s initial roster includes Cravity, the J-Pop group IS:SUE, Izna, another J-Pop group JO1, rapper Lee Youngji, and singer-songwriter Roy Kim. More artists are anticipated to be revealed in the upcoming weeks.
Previously held festival reached its grandest scale to date. The concluding concert segment, famously recognized as M Countdown, was televised live on The CW, marking an unprecedented event as it aired the first ever K-Pop performance during prime time national television. Remarkably, actress Awkwafina graced the occasion with her presence, hosting both independently and alongside NCT 127 members Johnny and Mark.
The KCON L.A. event is scheduled for August 1st through the 3rd. Further information about ticket sales, specific events, and additional performers will be shared in due course.
