Kieran Culkin Makes Cameo During John Hamm’s ‘SNL’ Cold Open

On the cold open of Saturday Night Live, Jon Hamm received assistance from none less than Kieran Culkin.

To kick off the show, he started by acknowledging that this was his fourth time hosting, mentioning he’s also made fourteen guest appearances aside from his hosting roles. A quick recap of his past performances followed, after which Hamm emphasized how significant a cameo can be for a program, explaining it as adding that extra touch to make a sketch great rather than just good, or giving a boost to a monologue that was aimlessly wandering. Culkin then appeared on stage.

In response, he humorously retorts, “Aren’t you already a starlet, madam? I can’t help but recall those images of you casually dressed in your gray sweatsuits.

At the conclusion of Culkin’s brief appearance, Hamm made a jibe in his direction, remarking, “Well, I guess Mad Men was superior to Succession, my friend.” However, Culkin declined to respond to Hamm’s critique, instead choosing to say goodbye with a friendly farewell: “I adore you, see ya!

As a gaming enthusiast, I couldn’t help but feel a rush of excitement when I, the star of “Your Friends & Neighbors,” was invited back to Saturday Night Live (SNL) for my fourth time! This time around, the amazing Lizzo joined me as the evening’s musical guest. The anticipation leading up to this night had been building for years ever since my last hosting stint in 2010 on NBC’s iconic sketch comedy series.
