As a hardcore fan who lived and breathed every moment of Game of Thrones for eight long seasons, I couldn’t help but feel a pang of nostalgia when I saw Kit Harington making an appearance in the new mobile game, Game of Thrones: Legends. His portrayal of Jon Snow was iconic, and it brought us all on a rollercoaster ride of emotions, twists, and turns that left us wanting more.
Kit Harington, famously known for his role as Jon Snow in “Game of Thrones,” is rejoining the series in a unique way. Instead of acting out Jon’s character, he appears as himself in the trailer for the new free-to-play mobile puzzle RPG game, “Game of Thrones: Legends” by Zynga. Harington brought Jon Snow to life on our screens for an impressive eight seasons between 2011 and 2019, but his return this time is not in the same capacity as before. The series finale of “Game of Thrones” ended in a contentious manner.
According to Variety, starting today, you can download “Game of Thrones: Legends” on Apple and Android devices. In celebration of its debut, a fresh trailer has been unveiled. In this clip, Harington appears as himself, leisurely strolling through a pub, sharing his triumphant approach. The trailer concludes with a humorous twist, as one woman eagerly awaits her turn to recite the first line from Ygritte (Rose Leslie) in “The Bear and the Maiden Fair” episode. Will Kit Harington Ever Play Jon Snow Again?
Can there be a possibility that Kit Harington will reprise his role as Jon Snow in “Game of Thrones” or its prequel series “House of the Dragon”? Given the accomplishment of these shows, this question arises. However, it seems unlikely at present. The proposed spinoff series named “Snow,” which was announced in 2022, has reportedly been canceled. According to Harington himself, the team behind the project couldn’t discover a compelling narrative for the story.
It might be beneficial instead for Harington, who acknowledged dealing with mental health issues following “Game of Thrones” and with a potential spinoff series centering around Jon Snow’s adventures, that he avoids falling back into past behaviors due to the stresses such a project could entail.
It would benefit Harington personally to let go of Jon Snow and concentrate on his future endeavors. He has an upcoming role in the werewolf film “The Beast Within,” a romance named “Eternal Return,” and is scheduled to appear in the third season of “Industry” on HBO, premiering August 11.
The “Game of Thrones: Legends” collection has been released, and you’re able to watch the entire original series by streaming it on Max.
