As a seasoned globetrotter with years of travel under my belt, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement upon hearing about the Kith x TUMI collaboration. Having experienced the wear and tear that comes with countless flights and adventures, I appreciate quality, durability, and style in my travel gear more than ever.
Kith announces a long-term collaboration with the luxury travel and lifestyle brand TUMI, starting with an exquisite line of high-end travel bags and accessories.
In discussing high-end travel, it was essential for Kith’s Ronnie Fieg to find the ideal collaborator who could produce enduring, fashionable, and classic items. TUMI represents all these qualities. They are leaders in the luggage industry, and their team shares the same passion for product design that I have. Collaborating with them on this collection and witnessing the final product’s exceptional execution was a gratifying journey.
This special, one-time collection encompasses four unique luggage items, each crafted using TUMI’s distinctive 19 Degree contours, robust aluminum from airplanes, and exclusive features such as locks approved by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), retractable tops, and side handles for easy carrying. Ranging from Rolling Trunks to Carry-Ons suitable for international travel, the series is adorned with Kith Monogram patterns covering the entire surface in four color options: asteroid, cavan, plaster, and quicksand.
According to Victor Sanz, TUMI’s creative director, both Kith and TUMI customers have a common passion for travel, technology, and fashion. The goal was to design a joint collection that showcases the finest aspects of what TUMI has to offer, combined with the refined taste that Kith is known for worldwide.
On Monday, October 28th, the TUMI collection by KITH will become available, both in our physical stores and online, starting at 11 a.m. Eastern Time. Don’t forget to check out the preview in the gallery above!
