Konami renews Manchester United partnership for eFootball

As a dedicated gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that the renewal of Konami and Manchester United’s partnership for eFootball is music to my ears! Having grown up idolizing the Red Devils, this news brings back fond memories of playing their digital counterparts on old-school consoles.

eFootball is preparing for a fresh chapter of domestic league play, following a summer brimming with international matches.

For the fifth consecutive year, eFootball developers have extended their partnership with Manchester United Football Club, following deals struck with major teams such as Arsenal, FC Barcelona, AC Milan, and Inter Milan among others.

For the past five fruitful years, Manchester United has joined forces with Konami, offering real-life player appearances in the eFootball series, as well as introducing fresh in-game content and opportunities to witness the Red Devils play live.

To honor the collaboration, eFootball plans to introduce a variety of fresh player cards featuring stars from Manchester United, such as a complimentary Highlight card for team captain Bruno Fernandes.

During the period from August 15th to the 29th, I’ll have a shot at grabbing some top-tier Manchester United player cards – three of them, in fact! Plus, I might even get my hands on an Epic Paul Scholes card by participating in a special limited-time Challenge as an eFootball player.

According to Florence Lafaye, Commercial Director of Manchester United, our lengthy collaboration has allowed the club to interact significantly with fresh and younger groups, in addition to presenting the Manchester United brand within the digital entertainment industry – a crucial area for us as we move forward into the future.

Beyond eFootball, Konami and Manchester United will still collaborate, blending animation games with actual soccer, as the publisher will transport players to Old Trafford.

For the remainder of the 2024-2025 Premier League season, one eFootball player is granted access to a pair of tickets for each home match played by Manchester United (taking into account all domestic cup games as well).

Participants have an opportunity to join this contest right here, where they could potentially meet their team’s Cards more closely, as Manchester United and Eric Ten Hag prepare to vie for another shot at winning the Premier League championship.
