Kristen Bell and Adam Brody Fall for Each Other in New Rom-Com Series ‘Nobody Wants This’

As a fan of heartwarming and unconventional romantic comedies, I am utterly thrilled about the upcoming Netflix series, Nobody Wants This! With the captivating duo of Kristen Bell and Adam Brody, this show promises to explore the complexities of love and faith in a way that resonates deeply.

In the upcoming month of September, I’m excited to dive into the quirky world of “Nobody Wants This,” a fresh and unconventional romantic comedy series starring none other than Kristen Bell and Adam Brody. Can’t wait to stream it on Netflix!

In the recently unveiled preview on Thursday, we see Bell portraying Joanne, a skeptic podcast host, who encounters Noah (Brody), a rabbi, at a social gathering. Towards the end of the sneak peek, Noah poses the question to Joanne: “Could there be a scenario where this could succeed?”

“As Joanne and Noah step out together, it’s evident that there might be more than friendship brewing between them. However, their contrasting viewpoints on life, the contemporary challenges of romance, and their families – her sister Morgan (Justin Lupe) and his brother Sasha (Timothy Simons), who can sometimes be supportive yet disruptive – could potentially complicate things.”

During a Tudum discussion, the creator Erin Foster explained that the show isn’t intended to convey any political messages due to its religious themes. After growing up as a non-Jew and later converting to Judaism as an adult, she expressed her desire to narrate a Jewish tale from the viewpoint of someone who voluntarily embraced Judaism.

“The series originates from the best choice I’ve ever made: loving a kind Jewish man,” Foster explained further. “I discovered that being content is significantly more challenging than being unhappy – there’s little to grumble about. Therefore, I crafted this show around all the complexities of finding the perfect match.”

On September 26, all ten episodes of the series “Nobody Wants This” are set to debut on Netflix. This production is a collaboration between 20th Television and Steven Levitan Productions.
