Law And Order: Price And Maroun Clash Over Ruining A Kid's Life In Exclusive New Episode Clip

As a seasoned gamer of legal dramas, I’ve seen my fair share of courtroom battles and power struggles within the Law & Order universe. The dynamic between the trio has always been intriguing, but with the addition of Baxter and the departure of McCoy, it’s like watching an entirely new game unfold.

In the exciting world of “Law & Order,” I, as a devoted fan, have witnessed some significant shifts in Season 24. A fresh face, Lt. Jessica Brady, played by Maura Tierney, replaced Lt. Kate Dixon, portrayed by Camryn Manheim. However, one constant remains unchanged: Samantha Maroun doesn’t shy away from going head-to-head with Nolan Price when she feels his methods for a case are off the mark. Catch the exclusive sneak peek (available above) from the upcoming episode slated for November 14 in the 2024 TV lineup, to see what sparks their latest disagreement and what Samantha is determined to prevent!

The upcoming episode is titled “Truth and Consequences,” and it’s evident that one significant consequence from their court case approach could potentially ruin a child’s life and lead to her deportation. Maroun is attempting to maintain reason with her superior, but the episode summary provided by NBC provides a glimpse into the high risks associated with Nolan’s trial.

In a tragic turn of events affecting a well-known judge’s household, it falls upon Brady to investigate whether the homicide has any ties to the judge’s judicial decisions. Baxter intervenes when a crucial witness becomes reluctant to appear in court. Meanwhile, Maroun takes steps to safeguard one witness’s confidentiality.

From my perspective, it seems Price is determined to follow legal procedures to the fullest extent, aiming to win the case as legitimately as possible. On the other hand, Maroun appears focused on securing a victory while ensuring a crucial witness remains safe from testimony that could significantly disrupt her life. I can’t wait to see if they can strike a balance or if DA Baxter will need to intervene and make the call for them.

The relationship among the trio in “Law & Order” has changed since Baxter took over from Sam Waterston’s character, Jack McCoy. If you want to revisit the era featuring Jack McCoy, you can do so by subscribing to Peacock. From the clip shown, Maroun appears to be the one to support, but will that change once we see the full episode?

Determine the airing time for the “Truth and Consequences” episode of Law & Order on Thursday, November 14, which is set in its regular timeslot of 8 p.m. Eastern Time on NBC. This episode will be followed by Law & Order: SVU at 9 p.m. ET. If you’d rather stream the shows, both new episodes will be available on Peacock the following day.

I must say, this season has been absolutely thrilling with some incredible guest appearances! Among them are Katee Sackhoff from “Star Wars” and “Battlestar Galactica”, Ryan Eggold known for his role in “New Amsterdam”, Cara Buono who stole the show in “Stranger Things”, and even a familiar face from “SVU” – a former cast member who last appeared on Mariska Hargitay’s show back in 2009.

Previously, NBC wrapped up a full night of “Law & Order” excitement earlier this year, as “Law & Order: Organized Crime” Season 5 shifted to Peacock. Now, at 10 p.m., “Found,” starring Mark-Paul Gosselaar, is being broadcast instead.
