Levi’s and McLaren Racing Collaborate on Second Collection

As a longtime fan of both motorsports and timeless fashion, I can hardly contain my excitement for the latest collaboration between Levi’s and McLaren Racing! Having grown up watching Formula One races on the weekends with my father, the nostalgic allure of this collection hits me right in the heart. The understated cobranding, classic materials, and minimal color palette are a nod to the old-school racing gear I used to admire as a kid.

In their second joint effort, Levi’s and McLaren Racing pay tribute to the modern vibe of the motor racing brand by offering simplified, laid-back designs.

Across this scope, subtle cobranding is combined with traditional materials and a restrained color scheme. The Track Trucker jacket, featuring a light wash, sports a ribbed collar and hem, while the women’s Speed Trucker jacket comes in black, complete with a double-latched mock neck collar and adjustable waist band. Both jackets prominently display the McLaren logo on their left-side front.

The Sports 501® jeans take design cues from Levi’s iconic ’93 Straight Fit 501®, adding embroidery to the ankle area for a unique touch. For women, the brand provides the Speed Jeans in a loose fit, featuring side panels and self-piping for added appeal. A sneak peek of these jeans can be found on Instagram, revealing a distinctive rubberized patch with a McLaren tag hanging over it.

In the Second Skin shirt, you’ll find an orange long sleeved tee that’s fully covered in a racing design and sports a McLaren logo centrally on the chest. The back of an asphalt-colored short sleeve tee and the front of a black and white paneled hoodie display larger graphics from the same series. To complete the collection, there’s a shiny bandana with a full print of a speeding McLaren race car on a track.

Globally, the second collaboration between Levi’s and McLaren, priced between $40 and $160 USD, will be released for purchase both in-store and online at Levi’s on October 17.
