Liam Neeson SHOCKED by Taken’s Body Count! 😱

Ever since he assumed a pivotal role in , our leading man has seized every opportunity to shine in action hero roles. However, behind the scenes, there was always a sense of hesitation about his involvement in the realm of brutal revenge-infused action flicks. In fact, he confessed that he felt somewhat awkward over the numerous gruesome deaths he orchestrated on screen.

Liam Neeson has emerged as the preferred choice for viewers across numerous streaming services due to his two-decade-long action movie career which gets regularly shuffled between platforms. These films often make it onto various Top 10 lists, particularly when they become available on free streaming services like Tubi. However, things might have turned out differently if Neeson hadn’t taken the role that ignited this successful journey.

In a 2022 interview with ScreenRant, Liam Neeson admitted that at one point, his driver had caused him discomfort over some actions required in the script.

15 years ago, during the filming of the original “Taken” movie, I had a chauffeur, and we began shooting in Los Angeles for the initial week. At the conclusion of that first week, as my driver was dropping me off at the hotel, he commented, “I’ve been reading the ‘Taken’ script; it says you’ve killed 26 people by page 40.” I was taken aback and felt a bit awkward, as if he was questioning whether I was truly the one portraying these violent actions.

Neeson Has Carved Himself a New Career Based on Blood, Violence, and Vengeance

Regardless of his unease about his character’s violent nature in the movie “Taken”, Neeson hasn’t hesitated since it turned out to be a massive success. The “Taken” series, which has made close to $1 billion, has seen Neeson star in numerous other action-packed thrillers that have resonated well with audiences.

In his seventies, Neeson understands that his days of playing an action hero, involving gunfights against gangsters, car explosions, and tracking down criminals might be coming to an end. Consequently, he’s been hinting at potentially retiring his action persona soon. Last year, he expressed this thought:

At the age of 72, I feel it’s time to draw the line. Audience appreciation can only go so far, and I don’t want my stunt collaborator Mark Vanselow to continue fighting my fight scenes for me. Perhaps by the end of next year, I might be wrapping up my career.

It’s yet to be confirmed, but with numerous action films slated for this year and the actor venturing into comedy, he will be attempting a new kind of action role – starring in the upcoming “Naked Gun” film. As the son of Leslie Nielsen’s Frank Drebin, Liam Neeson is excited to lighten up a bit, and with the movie set for release on August 1, 2025, fans eagerly await the first trailer to drop.
