According to Variety, by Sunday morning, Lilo & Stitch is projected to end its opening weekend with a staggering global box office collection of approximately $341.7 million. This impressive figure includes an estimated $158.7 million from international cinemas, along with a predicted $183 million 4-day gross in North American theaters during Memorial Day weekend. Moreover, the movie’s domestic earnings have set a new record for the biggest Memorial Day debut in North America, and this global total surpasses the entire lifetime box office collection of the original 2002 film, which only managed to earn $273.1 million worldwide within its run.
