Lukas Haas Joins Nicolas Cage in ‘Spider-Man Noir’ Series for Amazon

As a long-time comic book enthusiast with a soft spot for Marvel characters, I am beyond thrilled to see Amazon’s upcoming live-action series, “Spider-Man Noir.” The addition of talented actors like Lukas Haas, Cameron Britton, and Nicolas Cage to the cast is nothing short of exhilarating.

The live-action series adaptation of Amazon’s Spider-Man Noir, which is based on the Marvel comic, has brought in recurring characters portrayed by Lukas Haas, Cameron Britton, Cary Christopher, Michael Kostroff, Scott MacArthur, Joe Massingill, Whitney Rice, and Amanda Schull.

In this show, Nicolas Cage will be putting on a Spider-Man costume, along with Lamorne Morris, Brendan Gleeson, Abraham Popoola, Li Jun Li, and Jack Huston. The series centers around an older, hard-luck private investigator (played by Cage) in 1930s New York, who must confront his past as the city’s sole superhero.

The series is created by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios. “Spider-Man Noir” is one of the many stories set within the expansive Marvel universe that Amazon is developing, with the streaming service currently collaborating on “Silk: Spider Society” alongside “The Walking Dead’s” Angela Kang.

The show will initially air on MGM+, which was previously known as Epix (now under Amazon’s ownership), before becoming available worldwide on Prime Video. Harry Bradbeer is set to direct and take on an executive producer role for the first two episodes. Meanwhile, Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot have been appointed as co-showrunners and executive producers.

Uziel and Lightfoot collaborated on the project with Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, Amy Pascal (who previously worked together on “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”), as well as Aditya Sood and Dan Shear in their executive producer roles.
