In a past chat with Hello! Indo-Arabia, Salman reminisced about the making of his song Kabootar Ja Ja, revealing it brought tears to his eyes. He explained, “I was approximately 18 years old, and there was an incredibly moving moment during the filming of the song Kabootar Ja Ja Ja when I felt a strong connection with the role.” Salman added that he used to envision actors like Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor in such roles while listening to the narrations.

In simpler terms, Salman Khan shared that he never thought he could be part of major films until a specific moment when he truly believed, “Yes, I can do this.” Despite the common belief that Maine Pyar Kiya was his Bollywood debut, Salman actually made his initial appearance in a supporting role in Biwi Ho Toh Aisi (1988).

For those not familiar, Salman Khan was chosen by the Rajshris to play the lead in Maine Pyar Kiya following numerous auditions, which also signified Bhagyashree’s entry into films. As the charming actor continued his career and ascended to stardom, Bhagyashree found herself needing to step away from acting to prioritize her family amidst challenging personal circumstances.

Mohnish Bahl, who portrayed Jeevan in the movie directed by Sooraj Barjatya, recently shared with HT City his close relationship with Salman and his family prior to the release of Maine Pyar Kiya. He reminisced that it was actually Salman’s father, Salim, who expressed faith in the film long before its premiere, stating confidently that it would be successful.

In fact, it was Salman who introduced me to Sooraj Barjatya and the producers. They were hesitant about casting me for a negative role, but I jumped at the opportunity!
