On Monday, a man from Mississippi was taken into custody following an incident where he drove his car through the main entrance of Jennifer Aniston’s residence in Bel-Air.
In a recent development, Jimmy Wayne Carwyle was indicted by Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman on charges that include one count each of felony stalking and felony vandalism. Additionally, he is accused of posing a potential threat causing significant physical harm.
Hochman stated on Wednesday that stalking is a serious offense which can rapidly progress from annoying behavior to harmful, violent conduct, jeopardizing the security of victims and our neighborhoods. My office is resolute in vigorously pursuing charges against individuals who engage in stalking and instill fear in others, ensuring they face consequences for their actions.
It’s alleged that Carwyle persistently bothered an Emmy-winning actress from March 1, 2023, up until May 5, 2025, by sending her unwanted messages on social media, voicemails, and emails. This information comes from the district attorney’s office.
On a Monday afternoon, approximately 12:30 PM, it’s said that Carwyle drove his car forcefully into someone’s gate, inflicting significant damage. Afterward, he halted in the person’s driveway, where he was detained by the security guard until local law enforcement arrived on the scene.
Carwyle’s court hearing has been scheduled for this coming Thursday. The prosecution plans to ask for a bond of $150,000 according to the law. If found guilty of the accusations against him, he could potentially spend three years in a state penitentiary.
