Marvel Rivals: 10 Most Annoying Heroes To Fight Against

The first season of Marvel Rivals is now out, and fans are thrilled about the addition of the Fantastic Four clan, notably Reed and Sue Richards – more commonly recognized as Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman.

Since the game has been available for more than a month now, players have settled on their main characters, reached the highest tier, and made it high up on the leaderboards. It’s quite likely, isn’t it, that some of the 35 Marvel Rivals characters will prove to be rather challenging or irritating to play against?

Here’s a personal list of 10 of the most annoying heroes to fight against in Marvel Rivals:

Black Panther

In a battle, T’Challa’s exceptional skills can quickly wipe out your entire defense line, making this extremely perilous if your teammates rush headlong into the fray without a plan. If your team is active, it keeps your defense busy, but if you’re not paying attention, you’ll find that your healers are being taken down one by one.

That’s the work of Black Panther, who benefits from his annoying quick respawn timers. His timers reset each time he kills an opponent with a Vibranium Mark. Strategists are particularly vulnerable to his lethal abilities, so make sure to target T’Challa when he moves towards your backline. If you don’t, it could mean a defeat for your team.

Spider-Man

Should the opposing side have a player named Peter Parker, let’s hope they’re not particularly adept. A proficient Spider-Man can swiftly take down fragile heroes with his powerful one-two punch, particularly Strategists such as Mantis and Luna. If you begin to see your teammates expressing discontent in the chat, it’s a sign that you should reassess your strategy and prioritize dealing with Spider-Man.

He’s hard to catch due to his swift web-based skills that outmatch ordinary humans. Crowd control techniques such as Mantis’ Sleep, Luna’s Freeze, and even Peni’s Web are crucial in subduing him. Unfortunately, Uncle Ben, it seems he’s one step ahead of us.

Rocket Raccoon

Among all the strategists in the game, Rocket Raccoon stands out as the most pesky one. Despite being small, he boasts two rocket dashes for swift escapes and a B.R.B. device that revives fallen comrades. It’s quite remarkable how much functionality is crammed into this little raccoon.

Should you be attempting to pursue him, I wish you the best of luck. His ability to climb walls passively makes him more elusive, and though it’s adorable to watch, it does make capturing him challenging. If an enemy team has a Rocket character, prioritize disabling his B.R.B. device first. Failing to do so means you’ll be battling with a 7 against 6.

Loki

In simpler terms, the character Loki from Marvel Rivals closely follows his mythological background. His skills mainly involve deceit and illusions, which makes him a challenging and cunning foe to defeat in strategy play.

In the game, it’s tricky to find the genuine Loki among all the duplicates. His Ultimate move, capable of snatching an opponent’s special ability, makes him quite a formidable adversary. Defeating him is tough, given his endless invisibility and healing runes that mimic immortality. A clever tip: when in battle, alert your team to focus on the green rocks hovering above him; hitting them could potentially save you a round.

Luna Snow

Luna Snow doesn’t fit the typical definition of being annoying, yet her ultimate skill presents a considerable issue in advanced levels of play. The ability Fate of Both Worlds creates an invincible zone around her dance circle, causing a substantial hurdle for the opposing team.

Her primary means of attack are sliding and freezing enemies, making her relatively simple to target because she doesn’t move much on her own. It’s advisable to take her down before a significant team engagement; if you don’t, you might end up watching an extended performance from her without managing to get any kills for 12 seconds.

Iron Fist

In the world of Iron Fist, there are two categories of players: those who carefully choose their moments to engage in battle and survive, and those who meet an untimely demise within the initial three seconds of a team skirmish. There seems to be no middle ground.

A formidable player skilled with Iron Fist (similar to Necros) can be a real terror. Although he’s not invincible, his ability to deal immense damage and perform four consecutive jumps makes him a major threat. When he starts shouting in Chinese, it might be wise to hope he’s not locking onto you.

Similar to Black Panther and Spider-Man, Iron Fist acts as a secondary attacker, and it’s crucial for your team to target him when he makes a move towards the opponent’s defense line.

Iron Man

After spending numerous hours on hero-shooting games, a single fact has emerged: players rarely look skyward. If your squad neglects to keep an eye on the heavens, the game is as good as lost.

In simpler terms, Iron Man is incredibly powerful, particularly when working alongside the Hulk after receiving a Gamma Boost. If not stopped, he has the ability to obliterate an entire squad using his “MAXIMUM PULSE” move, leading to significant annoyance.

Hulk

I hold great admiration for players who specialize in controlling Hulk. These individuals are similar to Winston, the character from Overwatch, in the Marvel Rivals game. They charge into battle, land some attacks, deploy their shield, and then retreat back to their team.

His gear is tailored for brief battles, but what’s frustrating is his synergy with Iron Man and Doctor Strange through their Gamma Boost ability. To offset this, it’s crucial to prioritize taking down Iron Man initially. Failing to do so could result in the trio overwhelming your team with their amplified Gamma abilities.

Doctor Strange

An adept player of Doctor Strange has mastery over utilizing Shields and Portals tactically. You might not even sense the attack coming until, above you, a portal suddenly appears, followed by him casting the Eye of Agamotto, resulting in the swift elimination of your entire team.

To thwart him, aim your attacks at his shield. Once that’s shattered, he’ll be exposed because his sole means of movement is levitation.

Moon Knight

In the current season, Moon Knight’s power has grown significantly scary within the game meta, mainly due to the enhancements made to his Ultimate skill’s destructive potential. Be prepared for some team members to fall away as they confront the overwhelming might of Moon Knight when he summons the moon and unleashes his overpowered Ultimate.

Another matter to consider is that his Ankhs pose a challenge. A competent team would swiftly eliminate them, whereas an incompetent one might disregard them and place the blame on the Healing members for their downfall instead.

For now, that’s all. At the moment, there are 35 characters on the team list, but these 10 are particularly frustrating, causing players to become agitated, especially when they encounter skilled opponents. As for myself, I’m aiming to move up from Platinum rank so I can eventually enjoy the privilege of vetoing these 10 characters in matches.
