As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I must say that Venom is one heck of a character to play in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order. His unique abilities and versatility make him a formidable force on the battlefield.
In the thrilling world of Marvel Rivals, I’m not your typical tank character – I’m Venom, a force to be reckoned with! On the battlefield, I’m an unstoppable force, creating havoc and leaving destruction in my wake.
As a Vanguard, Venom excels at disrupting the enemy’s plans while keeping his team safe.
This article will show you how to make the most of Venom’s skills and wreck the competition.
How To Play as Venom
In the Marvel Rivals game, Venom is a nimble frontliner (tank), characterized by an aggressive and disruptive gameplay approach.
Although he may not deal the most damage, his role is to create confusion and maintain tension within the opposing team, preventing them from concentrating on their goals effectively.
Venom is considered one of the easier heroes to play, with a difficulty rating of only 1 star.
To control him effectively, players must understand the optimal moments for utilizing his skills and deciding whether to advance or retreat accordingly.
1. Venom’s Mobility Keeps Him Unpredictable
Venom’s mobility is one of his most notable strengths.

He’s a tank and a nimble fighter who can quickly maneuver around the map.
The trick to playing Venom is knowing when to use his mobility.
Venom Swing can help you catch up to enemies or dip out when things get too intense.
As a gamer, I love how quickly I can activate this skill. It allows me to dart in for an attack, dive headfirst into battle, or scramble away when things get too heated, thanks to its quick cooldown.
When using it, make sure you are close enough to the enemy to follow up with other abilities.
Venom’s Alien Biology lets him crawl on walls, which can give you an upper hand in fights.
You can use wall-crawling to throw off enemies and strike from angles they won’t expect.
This makes it easy to run away or sneak up on enemies for an ambush.
2. Disrupt and Slow the Enemy Down
Venom is solid at disrupting enemy plans and locking down space.

He uses Frenzied Arrival and Cellular Corrosion to control enemy movement and slow down high-priority targets.
Rapid Approach allows Venom to jump towards the opposing team’s rear line, inflicting harm and sending foes flying into the air.
Use your skill to disrupt the enemy’s lineup, causing their more vulnerable champions (like healers or attackers) to find themselves in potentially dangerous situations.
Immediately upon landing, use the Cellular Corrosion ability to weaken opponents and inflict additional harm.
The area around Venom gets hit by Cellular Corrosion, slowing enemies and draining their health over time.
You’ll get the most out of this ability in places where enemies pile up.
When adversaries fall within the range of Cellular Dissolution, they must either escape by utilizing their mobility or sustain substantial harm instead.
This ability is handy to stop enemies from running after pulling off a Frenzied Arrival.
3. Stay Tough When Things Get Rough
Venom’s Symbiotic Resilience is what keeps him going in fights.

Whenever Venom sustains damage, his ability generates additional health points, converting part of the lost health into bonus health. Consequently, the more health he loses initially, the more health he regains.
Activate Symbiotic Resilience when Venom’s health is low enough to make the bonus health worth it.
As a gamer, I’d rather hold off on using that item until I find myself in a truly challenging situation, like when I’m deep into enemy territory or cornered by opponents.
This makes Venom a great frontline disruptor, letting him take hits while dealing damage.
4. Feast of the Abyss Can Turn the Tide
Venom’s ultimate (Feast of the Abyss) is one of his most deadly moves.

He can temporarily burrow beneath the ground to dodge harm, followed by a leap back up where he inflicts significant damage based on the remaining health of his foe.
Depending on the situation, this ultimate ability works for offense or defense.
In case you’re engaged in a battle and your opponents are grouped together, use Feast of the Abyss to ensnare multiple enemies simultaneously.
This inflicts significantly greater harm on targets with high health, making it particularly effective against tough enemies like tanks or durable heroes.
If you find yourself overwhelmed and needing to withdraw, the Feast of the Abyss could prove beneficial, offering you an opportunity to recover and gain a fresh perspective.
Instead of using Feast of the Abyss right away, it’s more effective to save it for strategic points during the game.
5. Venom Works Best with Strong Allies
As a gamer, I thrive when pairing Venom with heroes who boost my aggressive style, but also prioritize his resilience during extended battles in the team arena.

He performs optimally when collaborating with partners who excel at utilizing his crowd control abilities, amplifying his damage output, or ensuring his healing remains effective.
Particularly, Venom synergizes effectively with both Spider-Man and Peni Parker as his Klyntar Touch ability amplifies their abilities by incorporating some symbiote enhancements.
These characters can follow up on Venom’s disruption with extra damage to the enemy.
Teaming Venom with characters such as Wolverine or Hulk can create an unstoppable force at the forefront, dealing immense damage to the opposing team.
Due to Venom frequently operating behind enemy territory, having a healer like Mantis or Luna Snow could prove beneficial in such situations.
The healers keep Venom from perishing amidst the turmoil, thus making him a formidable adversary even when confronted by numerous opponents.
Mantis also helps Venom dish out more damage, making him even more dangerous.
6. Learn How to Deal With Venom’s Counters
Venom is a beast, but he’s not without his weak spots.

Once you become familiar with the strategies for avoiding certain pitfalls and defeating particular adversaries, your effectiveness will significantly improve.
Up close is where Venom excels most, making it challenging for characters such as Hawkeye or Iron Man, who prefer maintaining a distance, to cause him trouble.
Quickly employ Venom Swing and Frenzied Arrival to bridge the distance swiftly, and strive to assault your adversaries prior to them establishing a defensive position and attacking you from a distance.
Heroes like Iron Man or Rocket Raccoon can dodge Venom’s initial strike or maneuver around him.
When dealing with these enemies, monitor your Venom Swing cooldown and use it to close in fast.
You could also save your Feast of the Abyss to hit multiple targets when you find an ideal spot.
