In 2022, the news agency ANI shared that the actress publicly thanked her mother, Ujjala Padukone, for identifying her symptoms during a successful career phase. “There seemed to be no cause or obvious reason for my emotional state, yet I would breakdown unexpectedly,” she reportedly said. “On certain days, I didn’t feel like getting up at all; sleep offered me an escape as I grappled with suicidal thoughts.

Deepika and Ranveer were together for a while before getting married on November 14, 2018, during a private ceremony. After almost six years of marriage, they became parents to a baby girl named Dua, born on September 8, 2024.
