Metroid Prime 4 promises a fresh, distinct gaming journey on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. During the Switch 2 presentation, it was revealed that the upgraded edition will offer players a smooth, high-speed experience, running at 120 frames per second.

The Switch Model 2 packs quite a punch. Its dock supports 4K resolution, and it doesn’t fall short when held, offering a crisp 1080p display. For gamers eager to enjoy Metroid Prime 4 on the move, you’ll be pleased to know that it will run at an impressive 120 frames per second in handheld mode as well.

To put it simply, Prime 4 offers two modes: Quality and Performance. The Quality mode showcases the game in 4K resolution with a steady frame rate of 60 frames per second (FPS) when docked, and in 1080p while in handheld mode. The Performance mode, on the other hand, increases the FPS to 120 when docked, while maintaining the same 1080p resolution in handheld mode.

One key point to remember is that enhancements for Switch 2 aren’t complimentary for games already launched. Interestingly, the information regarding paid upgrades for Metroid Prime 4, a forthcoming game, was not disclosed. As of now, we don’t have a specific release date for it.
