Miranda Cosgrove is teasing a new iCarly project that is currently in the works.

The actress who first played Carly Shay in the popular Nickelodeon series that originally ran from 2007 to 2012 later returned to portray her character again when the show came back, airing from 2021 to 2023. Unfortunately, the revival of the show was terminated after three seasons.

On a recent episode of “The Talk”, Cosgrove hinted, “I can’t completely verify it just yet, but I believe the fans of the show will be thrilled because we’ve got something brewing.

During their discussion, the Mother of the Bride star didn’t disclose the specifics of her upcoming project, but there were hints that it might be a movie. This idea was casually thrown around by hosts Akbar Gbajabiamila, Sheryl Underwood, and Natalie Morales. Moreover, they inquired if the new project would involve resurrecting some beloved characters from the cast.

Beyond Cosgrove, the revival of iCarly featured Nathan Kress (as Freddie Benson) and Jerry Trainor (as Spencer Shay) returning to their roles. The show picked up Carly’s storyline a decade later, focusing on a group of friends producing a webcast while dealing with typical adult issues and escapades. Laci Mosley and Jaidyn Triplett were also part of the cast.

Last year, Paramount+ confirmed that the fourth season of “iCarly” would not be produced. In a statement at the time, a representative from the streaming platform expressed gratitude to the entire cast, writers, directors, and producers, as well as the crew, for their dedication, creativity, and talent. The series had a fantastic three-season run, culminating in Carly and Freddie finally getting together, which met what fans had been eagerly anticipating.
