Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1: Everything You Need to Know

Capcom has recently revealed fresh content for the first free update of Monster Hunter Rampage (Wilds). During a 15-minute presentation, Monster Hunter Rampage’s producer Ryozo Tsujimoto presented new features such as new monsters, a Social Spot called Gathering Hub, and additional elements.

Here’s everything coming in Monster Hunter Wilds Free Title Update 1:

Mizutsune Returns

The elegant Leviathan has returned, armed and prepared to blast bubbles and water jets at unsuspecting predators. Mizutsune’s arrival is bound to stir things up in the “Is Arkveld back?” narrative of the game, introducing its upcoming armor and weapon abilities that remain a secret for now.

The trailer demonstrates that Mizutsune seems to have incorporated numerous fresh attacks derived from previous versions. Indicating a more forceful approach, it exhibits powerful, destructive bubble explosions and a harsh bubbleblight, posing a formidable test for veteran hunters.

High-Rank Zoh Shia Hunt

The final boss of Monster Hunter Wilds’ Low Rank, Zoh Shia is ready for a High-Rank rematch.

Now, players have the exciting opportunity to acquire the High-Rank armor and weapons that were previously absent in the original game.

As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but marvel at the Equal Dragon Weapon, affectionately known as Zoh Shia. This formidable weapon played a pivotal role in Wyveria’s defeat, leaving us all in awe of its power. The mystery surrounding the new enhanced abilities that Zoh Shia might unleash in battle only adds to the excitement. Given its sheer strength in Low Rank, I can’t help but imagine how much more powerful its High-Rank version will become!

The Grand Hub

Among the highly demanded features, there’s an exciting return – The Grand Hub! Situated in the heart of Suja lies this expansive Social Gathering Space, where hunters can mingle, enjoy refreshments, and strategize for their upcoming expeditions, while being entertained by a captivating Singer.

At the Grand Hub, you’ll find fresh additions, such as an activity reminiscent of bowling but with enormous barrels instead. It’s classic Monster Hunter fun!

Arch-Tempered Rey Dau

For those wanting a tougher gameplay experience, the Arch-Tempered Rey Dau is coming soon as a free event quest. But don’t expect it right when Title Update 1 drops—it’s scheduled to appear in mid-April for a brief period instead. It looks like other Apexes will follow suit and debut later on as well.

The introduction of new Gamma variant armor sets for character Rey Dau might establish groundbreaking combat abilities. However, be aware that this winged dragon, armed with a railgun on its forehead, demands a Hunter Rank of 50 to engage in battle.

Speedrunning Arena Quests

As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled to share that for the first time ever in the series chronicles, Monster Hunter is formally launching Speedrunning and Leaderboards! This fresh challenge invites us hunters to slay monsters with unprecedented speed. Although speedrunning has been an unofficial part of our community for quite some time, Capcom is now redefining its essence through their innovative Arena approach. This exciting update enables complete party teams to engage in timed hunts, adding a new layer of competition and excitement to our beloved game!

Individuals who finish tasks quickly will have an opportunity to display their abilities on the latest Leaderboards, which keep tabs on the top global hunters.

Additional Content

Title Update 1 introduces fresh wardrobe options, such as altering Alma’s attire, additional buyable adornments, and season-specific activities in the Gathering Hub.

On April 4th, the complimentary Title Update 1 becomes available across all platforms. As we move forward, anticipate the Summer Update, slated for June, which will bring back the legendary Leviathan and Lagiacrus.
