For more than two decades, Kapoor, an esteemed figure in the realm of Indian entertainment, has made a significant mark as a Bollywood royalty and a globally recognized producer, who has excelled in Hindi television and cinema, earning her an International Emmy Award.
Monika Shergill, Vice President of Content at Netflix India, praised Kapoor’s influence on the local industry, pointing out her “insightful grasp of the audience’s preferences.” Shergill underscored that this collaboration aligns with Netflix’s overall approach to providing content tailored to the diverse tastes of its Indian viewers.
During discussions about the partnership, Kapoor emphasized the potential to share “compelling, culturally grounded, and emotionally impactful narratives with a worldwide audience,” pointing out Netflix’s unprecedented global influence.
She commented: “This fresh partnership signals a thrilling next step in our journey, allowing us to explore innovative ideas and produce captivating content that amuses, motivates, and links individuals across the globe.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that Netflix and Balaji Telefilms are teaming up once more, leveraging their past successful collaborations like “Kathal,” “Pagglait,” and “Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare.” This renewed partnership is set to bring a fresh wave of entertainment our way, with an exciting new series in the pipeline, currently under advanced development. Both Balaji Motion Pictures and Balaji Telefilms Digital will be contributing to this collaboration.
