As a seasoned gamer of reality TV shows, this news about the revival of Project Runway for its 21st season has me absolutely thrilled! Having grown up watching the fashion design competition unfold on Bravo, I’ve seen the incredible careers launched by designers like Christian Siriano and Austin Scarlett. Now, with Freeform, Hulu, and Disney+ joining forces to bring this iconic series back into our lives, it feels like a dream come true!
The decision about the future of “Project Runway” has been made: Freeform will revive the lengthy Bravo reality show focused on fashion design, starting with season 21.
In 2025, the television network has agreed to produce a fresh 10-episode season with Spyglass Media Group. Following its debut on Freeform, both Disney+ and Hulu will broadcast the series as well.
Project Runway, a renowned television powerhouse, fits perfectly with the vibrant pulse of pop culture at Freeform,” stated Simran Sethi, president of scripted programming for Hulu Originals and ABC Entertainment on Thursday. The upcoming season of Project Runway will be produced by Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz from Alfred Street Industries.
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that Freeform is set to air their weekly reality TV series! Exciting times are ahead as they’re currently scouting for a fresh host and panel of judges. The announcement regarding these new additions to our favorite show is eagerly anticipated in the near future.
For over 20 seasons, ‘Project Runway’ has kept audiences hooked and amassed a devoted fanbase. This series has demonstrated its worth and longevity as a global brand, and we are thrilled to expand the show’s viewership across Freeform, Hulu, and Disney+ platforms,” said Gary Barber, the chairman and CEO of Spyglass, in his statement.
Initially airing on Bravo in 2004, Project Runway has since been broadcast in approximately 125 nations worldwide. This influential series has catapulted the careers of fashion designers such as Christian Siriano, Austin Scarlett, Leanne Marshall, Irina Shabayeva, Michael Costello, and Bishme Cromartie into prominence.
Project Runway is made by Spyglass Media Group and Alfred Street Industries, with Barber, Cutforth, Lipsitz, Dan Volpe, and Nan Strait overseeing the project in an executive capacity.
