Nick Offerman Boards ‘Margo’s Got Money Troubles’ at Apple TV+

As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for compelling narratives and star-studded casts, I’m thrilled about Apple TV+’s upcoming series, “Margo’s Got Money Troubles.” Having grown up watching Nick Offerman as Ron Swanson in “Parks and Recreation,” it’s exciting to see him join forces with an ensemble that includes Elle Fanning, Nicole Kidman, and Michelle Pfeiffer.

Apple TV+‘s forthcoming Margo’s Got Money Troubles is adding to its already star-studded cast.

Actor Nick Offerman is now part of the cast for a series produced by A24 and overseen by showrunner David E. Kelley. Known for his role on “Parks and Recreation,” Offerman will be sharing the screen with Elle Fanning, Nicole Kidman, and Michelle Pfeiffer in this upcoming drama.

The television series, titled “Margo’s Got Money Troubles“, is inspired by Rufi Thorpe’s top-selling novel. It centers around the character of Margo (portrayed by Fanning), who is described in the show’s synopsis as having a unique background – being the daughter of a Hooters waitress and a former professional wrestler. The narrative unfolds when she engages in an affair with her junior college English professor, leading to an unwanted pregnancy. Struggling to make ends meet, Margo resorts to using OnlyFans. Later, she reconnects with her estranged father who shares wisdom he’s gained from his wrestling career. This reunion propels Margo to become a sensation on OnlyFans.

Offerman will play Jinx, Margo’s dad; Pfeiffer plays her mother.

In the first season of HBO’s “The Last of Us,” Offerman clinched an Emmy for his guest performance. Currently, he can be seen in Fox’s animated show “The Great North” and will appear in Netflix’s upcoming historical drama “Death by Lightning,” set for release in 2025. Other recent projects include “Civil War” and “The Umbrella Academy.” Offerman is represented by UTA and Jackoway Austen.

Kelley is reworking Thorpe’s novel for a production role, with his own production company named after him taking part, along with Elle Fanning, Dakota Fanning, Brittany Kahan Ward from Lewellen Pictures; Kidman, Per Saari from Blossom Films; Matthew Tinker from David E. Kelley Productions; Pfeiffer; and Thorpe themselves, participating as well.
