- Once Human, the post-apocalyptic shooter from NetEase, is launching its first cross-play test
- This’ll let players get a grasp on how cross-progression will work when Once Human hits mobile in April
- It’s a closed beta, but confirms that you’ll be able to seamlessly jump from device to device
Over the past few months, NetEase has seen significant success, primarily due to Marvel Rivals. However, they’ve also unveiled their eerie cooperative shooter, Once Human, for PC. There’s been talk of a mobile version for some time, and it appears that’s about to materialize, as we’re now experiencing the first cross-play test for Once Human today!
In a world reshaped by a catastrophic supernatural event, players find themselves among scattered remnants of humanity. The goal is to navigate through this devastated landscape, rally allies, and reestablish society, eventually confronting the monstrous beings that now dominate the Earth. However, it’s important to remember that even your fellow survivors might pose challenges in these difficult times.
It’s not surprising that Once Human has generated so much excitement due to its blend of stunning visuals and terrifying run ‘n’ gun action. Although we’ve already conducted several standard beta tests, I believe the addition of cross-progression will be a standout feature for players joining now. Moreover, it could be one of the last opportunities for gamers to try out Once Human before its scheduled release in April.
More human than human
The test version of the game is scheduled to run until March 30th, and registration is still open for those eager to participate. Many people would agree that Once Human wasn’t likely to resonate with PC gamers, given that Marvel Rivals appears to be NetEase’s blockbuster for the big screen. However, this visually appealing shooter seems tailor-made for mobile users, so it’s exciting news that we won’t have to wait too much longer to give it a try!
Why not take a look at Stephen’s latest review on Black Salt Games’ Dredge? This unique blend of fishing simulation and horror, infused with a Lovecraftian touch of suspense and fear, is reminiscent of Once Human’s style. And just like that game, it has been awarded gold!
