The actress stated that someone has been using an image from her Bengali film, Shadowbox, as their WhatsApp profile picture while asking favors of others. However, she clarified that the number in question is not hers and she has never asked anyone for such favors. Therefore, Tillotama requested everyone to refrain from engaging in any transactions or conversations with the number she posted on her Instagram.
A user wrote in their captions, “This isn’t my contact number. The profile picture being utilized is from our movie @bakshobondifilm. It was taken down earlier. To the person concerned, please refrain from using my name to request favors from people I know. PLEASE STOP.

The actress supported her statements by posting images of a suspicious phone number, which she alleged was being used by a scammer. Additionally, she shared a screenshot of a chat between an unknown individual and someone else, where it appeared that the person was using her name to seek assistance.
Shortly after, numerous individuals shared their concerns in the comments, revealing that some of their associates had fallen victim to a fraudulent scheme and consequently lost money. One user cautioned, “Beware… My friend was tricked this way and ended up losing funds,” while another warned, “There are many fake accounts circulating.
