Mark Collie Details Marvel’s R-Rated ‘Punisher’ Villain 20 Years Later
More modern hits such as “Deadpool” and “Logan” have demonstrated that superhero movies can continue to earn huge profits even with a mature R-rating. One of the initial Marvel superheroes to explore an adults-only MPAA rating was the vengeful and dark Punisher, who first appeared in 1989 played by Dolph Lundgren (“Rocky IV”) and then in 2004 by Thomas Jane (“HBO’s Hung”). As it happens, this film is marking its 20th anniversary. In a recent interview with MovieWeb, one of the co-stars from that movie, veteran actor Mark Collie who portrayed villain Harry Heck in “The Punisher”, spoke to us about their throwback action flick. Currently, Collie is promoting his new series “Landman” and also shared insights about potential future appearances of Heck within the MCU, as well as his thoughts on more recent adaptations of The Punisher.
