In February 2024, Deadline revealed that filmmaker Sam Mendes, known for movies like “American Beauty”, “Road to Perdition”, “1917”, and the James Bond films “Skyfall” and “Spectre”, was set to direct four interconnected films about each member of The Beatles. Now, we have some exciting casting news from a former Beatle – drummer and occasional actor Ringo Starr. He shared with Entertainment Tonight that Barry Keoghan will portray him in Mendes’ extensive project. Regarding the casting choice, Starr expressed:
