While director Dean DeBlois was traveling to London for auditions to cast a live-action Hiccup from his animated franchise, he decided to watch a movie during his flight. He chose Scott Derrickson’s “The Black Phone,” featuring Ethan Hawke. As a Canadian filmmaker, DeBlois was captivated by the young actor’s performance at 13 years old, and he felt compelled to include him on his list of potential 15-year-old Viking candidates.
As an ardent admirer, I’m thrilled to share that Bob Greenberg, the illustrious Emmy Award-winning producer behind the hit show “Bob’s Burgers,” will be assuming the role of Executive Chairman at Othelia. In a remarkable display of confidence and commitment, Greenberg, along with his partners, have chosen to invest their own funds (having sold their animation company, Bento Box, to Fox back in 2019) into this venture. This strategic move positions him as one of the co-founders, a title well-deserved for his invaluable contribution. The decision to establish Othelia’s presence in America is being seen as a rejuvenation or rebirth, a new chapter in this exciting journey.
It’s even more disheartening when a fresh Western movie like Richard Gray’s “The Unholy Trinity” fails to offer anything new, instead recycling old ideas and presenting them in a bland, unoriginal manner that echoes previous films we’ve watched.

As Miller explains to The Hollywood Reporter, “I started working on the Scrubs pilot, but Bill [Lawrence, creator and Miller’s husband] wasn’t satisfied with the music selection, and couldn’t find suitable tracks.” Being a New York native who occasionally DJed, and knowing Bill’s musical preferences, I proposed taking a shot at it. I did so, and his response was, “You’re handling the music now.” Thus, I functioned as an unaccredited music supervisor on Scrubs.
