On Thursday, Disney announced that WPLG, their south Florida TV station owned by Berkshire Hathaway for the past 11 years, will no longer be an affiliate of ABC starting later this summer. Instead, Disney is collaborating with Sunbeam Television Group to establish a new platform for ABC called “ABC Miami”.
