Shows like “What If…?” take place in timelines similar to the MCU but are not exactly the same, whereas series such as “X-Men ’97” have no connection to the Marvel movies. Notably, “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man” is connected to the MCU in some ways, but it’s set in a timeline separate from the films.
The title “NKYINKYIM” draws inspiration from an Adrinkra symbol used by the Akan people of Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire. This symbol represents the twisting journey of progress and obstacles. The design of this symbol is mirrored in the bookshelf, seamlessly adapting to USM’s modular building system. It weaves intricately, going back and forth, and rests on four primary supports.
In 2021, while filming the western movie “Rust”, Alec found himself handling a prop gun that unexpectedly discharged. Despite his claim that he didn’t pull the trigger, the bullet fatally wounded Halyna Hutchins, the cinematographer, and injured Joel Souza, the director. This unfortunate incident resulted in a trial for involuntary manslaughter against Alec, which was dismissed the following year. Jake Rogal was in charge of directing a six-part series focusing on the basketball players aiming for gold at the Olympics. I recently had an opportunity to interview Rogal regarding his new project, which will be available for streaming alongside top shows on Netflix soon. Upon viewing the documentary, I questioned whether they had unrestricted access during filming, and he confirmed that they did.
