Joseph Kosinski Was A Great Choice For Top Gun: Maverick, But If Things Had Gone Differently The Movie Would Have Had A Bigger Connection To Tony Scott
It’s challenging to find fault with the success of “Top Gun: Maverick.” The sequel has raked in a billion dollars worldwide and garnered multiple award nominations. Looking back, it seems that every decision, from casting to hiring Joseph Kosinski, the director of “Tron: Legacy,” was spot on. It’s hard to conceive how the movie could have been improved, though perhaps if Ridley Scott, Tony Scott’s brother who directed the original “Top Gun,” had directed it instead, it might have been even better.
