Currently, Jason Statham is dominating the streaming scene, and one of his action-packed thrillers from over a decade ago, the 2008 heist movie “The Bank Job,” is once again climbing the charts, holding a robust position near the top of the Starz global movie chart. Driven by the enduring appeal of Statham and directed by Roger Donaldson, this film revolves around a true-life bank robbery that happened in London in 1971 and has puzzled authorities for decades. Despite Statham not getting to play a vigilante role in this movie, it remains an ideal platform for him.

On January 3rd, Vicky Kaushal and his wife, Katrina Kaif, arrived back in Mumbai following their New Year’s getaway. As a seasoned movie reviewer, I can’t help but share my intrigue about Andrew Garfield’s recent statements regarding Spider-Man 4. He insists no one will believe him if he says he won’t be in it, which makes me wonder: could this mean he might just be part of the cast? After all, Garfield brought Peter Parker/Spider-Man to life in 2012’s The Amazing Spider-Man and its sequel in 2014. However, his tenure as the web-slinger was cut short when Sony Pictures opted for a reboot within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Fast forward seven years, and Garfield found himself back in the suit, sharing screen time with both Tom Holland’s and Tobey Maguire’s versions of Spider-Man in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Amidst all this, for nearly a year, Garfield repeatedly told the press he was not part of the film. So, what’s the truth? Only time will tell!

In a heartfelt admission, I must confess my fondness for the Sony Spider-Man Universe, a series that never quite found its definitive title, yet captivated me in its unique way. Regrettably, this epic saga has reached its end, and it’s not with a grand finale we hoped for. Instead, Kraven the Hunter, the latest addition to the franchise, stands as an unintentionally entertaining chapter, earning its place among the greatest so-bad-it’s-good cinematic universes ever created.

Alas, I can hardly say it went out with a bang; instead, it sparked a wave of disappointment among critics and viewers who had long since lost faith following the initial trailers. In addition to Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the titular anti-hero, the film features Alessandro Nivola in the role of the Rhino, serving as the antagonist. Ironically, Mr. Nivola remains oblivious to the torrential backlash that has enveloped the film, and is left scratching his head, trying to fathom why this production failed to resonate with its intended audience.
