New ‘Mummy’ Movie Announced from ‘Evil Dead Rise’ Director
It appears that Blumhouse Productions, known for their exceptional work, are determined to preserve and expand upon Universal’s classic Monsters legacy. Their critically acclaimed adaptation of “The Invisible Man” was widely recognized as one of the top horror films of the past ten years, while their upcoming “Wolf Man” has generated a lot of buzz. Now, Blumhouse and Atomic Monster are delving into “The Mummy”. Officially titled “Lee Cronin’s The Mummy“, this film is set to release on April 17, 2026. Lee Cronin will be penning and directing the movie, with production by Atomic Monster, Blumhouse, and Doppelgängers, under New Line. In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, Cronin expressed his excitement about the project.
