After completing the 41st season, Sajak decided to hand over the responsibilities of ‘Wheel of Fortune’ to Ryan Seacrest so he could devote more time to his loved ones.
Seacrest started this fall and, he’s been doing well picking up where Sajak left off. As the show has continued, he has gotten even better at the job, and with the former American Idol host enjoying his newest gig, the classic hit doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon.
After Sajak stepped down from his position, he and his long-time colleague, Vanna White, offered some valuable guidance to Seacrest as they prepared Wheel of Fortune for its next chapter. In the run-up to his last show, Sajak expressed his thoughts and contemplations about retirement, and what he envisioned for himself in the future. Sitting behind home plate during the World Series and gaining attention because of it, certainly isn’t a bad start to his life after Wheel of Fortune.
I’m confident the show thrives on without Sajak at the helm, given its stature as a staple of network television, a crown jewel in game shows, and with Vanna White still gracing our screens. As for Pat, I wish him nothing but happiness in his retirement, may the Dodgers triumph, and let his popularity continue to soar!
