Patrick Schwarzenegger, who gained notice for his standout performance in “White Lotus,” has secured his initial significant role following the broadcast of its third season in April.
The son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, an actor himself, will take on a leading role alongside Margaret Qualley in the romantic drama titled “Love of Your Life“, produced by Amazon MGM Studios.
In the upcoming romantic drama “Love of Your Life“, which is being produced by Amazon MGM Studios, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver’s son will star opposite Margaret Qualley.
This project is generating a lot of excitement, not just due to the fact that it’s being helmed by Rachel Morrison, who has previously worked as the cinematographer on “Black Panther,” but also because it is being produced by Ryan Gosling and his partner Jessie Henderson. The two are producing this project under their company Open Invite Entertainment, which was formerly known as General Admission.
The narrative, penned by Julia Cox (Nyad), tells a heart-wrenching tale about a character portrayed by Qualley, who experiences the tragic loss of her spouse. This young woman embarks on a journey aimed at discovering a path to move forward in her life.
Schwarzenegger will play an old friend and ex.
Sources say the drama will commence shooting in August in European locales.
The characteristic brings together two allegedly “nepotistic babies” in showbiz, as Qualley is the offspring of actress Andie MacDowell, known for her roles in ‘Groundhog Day’ and ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’. Towards the end of last year, she received a nomination for a Golden Globe award due to her acting in ‘The Substance’.
Over the years, Arnold Schwarzenegger has been gradually growing his acting career. Most recently, he played Tim Tebow in Ryan Murphy’s television series, “American Crime Story: Aaron Hernandez,” last fall. Additionally, he has been seen in various roles in recent times, including appearances in HBO Max’s Emmy-nominated limited series, “The Staircase”, Amazon Prime Video’s “The Terminal List”, and the spinoff of “The Boys” on Amazon Prime Video, titled “Gen V”.
However, it was the character he played as Saxon Ratliff, a arrogant jock that audiences loved to despise (but eventually grew fond of), which won him admirers across the entirety of Hollywood.
The opportunity presented several possibilities for the actor; he conducted a chemistry test with Natalie Portman for Netflix’s “Good Sex,” although he didn’t secure the role in the end. Furthermore, he declined one or two other roles, including the part in “Street Fighter,” as reported by sources.
He is repped by UTA, Entertainment 360, and Goodman Genow.
