Planes Targeting Trump Fly Over College Football Stadiums, Telling Voters to Sack Project 2025 (Exclusive)

As a seasoned college football fan and a concerned citizen, I find the political stunt of flying banners over stadiums during games to be both innovative and effective. It’s clear that the Democratic National Committee is leveraging the passion of fans to drive home their message about the potential dangers of Project 2025.

This past weekend, college football enthusiasts enjoying pre-game festivities at various universities got an unexpected glimpse of the future when aircraft displaying slogans related to Election 2024 soared overhead across their parking areas and stadiums.

This past Saturday during the second week of the 2024 college football season, three universities had their names displayed in the sky via banners towed by airplanes, a gesture provided by the Democratic National Committee.

Four hours before every game’s start, planes displayed messages linking Donald Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, and his running mate J.D. Vance, to a contentious collection of conservative policies called Project 2025 over the University of Michigan’s Michigan Stadium, Penn State’s Beaver Stadium, and later at the University of Wisconsin’s Camp Randall Stadium. A plane intended to fly over the University of Georgia’s Sanford Stadium was grounded on Saturday morning due to poor weather conditions.

Translation: Here are the messages: “JD Vance loves Ohio State and Project 2025”; “Bulldogs aim to defeat Trump and halt Project 2025”; “Penn St aims to defeat Trump and halt Project 2025”; “Jump Around! Defeat Trump and halt Project 2025.

The purpose behind the stunt was to emphasize to college students and football enthusiasts that supporting Trump is equivalent to losing the game due to his risky and radical “Project 2025” proposals, according to Kamala Harris’ campaign, the candidate running for president as a Democrat.

Today marks college football Saturday, and spectators are eager to outmaneuver opponents while thwarting Project 2025. If successful, this initiative would bestow unparalleled authority upon Trump, empowering him to prohibit abortions nationwide, scrutinize pregnancies, and offer substantial tax reductions for the wealthy elite,” DNC Deputy Communications Director Abhi Rahman stated in a declaration to The Hollywood Reporter. “In an effort to engage voters in crucial swing states, the DNC is hoisting Project 2025 banners over iconic stadiums such as Michigan’s Big House, Sanford Stadium in Georgia, Beaver Stadium at Penn State, and Camp Randall Stadium in Wisconsin.

Rahman emphasized that these signs convey a message that strikes a chord with supporters, reminding them of the significant event yet to take place in November. He went on to say, “The differences between candidates in this election are stark, and we have a proven strategy: Implement Project 2025, make a strong defense, and push forward towards an America that is fairer and more equitable for everyone.

Additionally recognized as the 2025 Presidential Transition Project, this initiative titled Project 2025, originating from the conservative Heritage Foundation in 2023, presents a collection of conservative and right-wing policies. It is marketed as “a policy agenda, staffing, training, and a 180-day blueprint” intended to be enacted “from day one” by the next Republican president. The Harris campaign, along with numerous speakers, have been vocally critical of this plan during August’s DNC, and since then, they have made the extensive 900-page document their primary anti-GOP criticism.

Kenan Thompson, SNL comedian and DNC speaker, remarked during the third night of the convention this summer: ‘Have you ever come across a document that could endanger both small creatures and democracy? Here it is.’ In his performance, he fielded calls from voters and highlighted the rights they might lose under Project 2025, specifically protections for LGBTQ+ individuals. ‘Sadly,’ he added, ‘we may be headed back to the Stone Age.’

Multiple other Democratic National Committee speakers, such as Senator Cory Booker of New Jersey and Vice Presidential candidate Tim Walz, likewise criticized the initiative.

The next day, Trump told Fox News that he was unaware of Project 2025. He stated on ‘Fox & Friends’ that he has no involvement with it. “A group of individuals assembled and outlined some extremely conservative principles,” he said. “Whether they crossed a line or not, I don’t know. Frankly, I’m unsure what Project 2025 entails.

Previously, Karoline Leavitt, a representative of Donald Trump, explained to The New York Times that it’s accurate to say that President Trump has consistently maintained that Project 2025 has no connection to his political campaign.
