As a lifelong enthusiast of all things Porsche, I can hardly contain my excitement about the German automotive giant’s latest ventures in Bangkok. Having traveled extensively and experienced luxury living around the globe, I can confidently say that the upcoming Porsche Design Tower Bangkok is set to redefine the concept of opulence in Southeast Asia.
the Porsche Design Tower Bangkok and the launch of its Curvistan space. The German car brand, known for its top-tier vehicles, is increasing its presence in Southeast Asia with these ventures. The Porsche Design Tower Bangkok aims to redefine luxury living, while the Curvistan space, developed alongside renowned artist and automotive writer Stefan Bogner, will serve as a creative and cultural hub.
As a fervent admirer, I can’t help but express my excitement about the upcoming Porsche Design Tower Bangkok. This architectural marvel is poised to be an iconic symbol in the city’s skyline, merging innovative design with unmatched opulence. This ultra-luxury dwelling, a joint venture between Porsche Design and Ananda Development, will be a first-of-its-kind masterpiece in Asia, and just the third of its kind globally, following in the footsteps of its legendary predecessors in Miami and Stuttgart.
Located on Sukhumvit 38 in the bustling Thonglor district, the Porsche Design Tower Bangkok will provide 22 unique and exclusive Sky Villas, spread across duplex and quadplex configurations. These residences will vary in size from 525 to 1,135 square meters. Each villa will boast private pools, spacious living areas, and the signature “Passion Spaces” – luxurious garages directly linked to the residences via private lifts. This innovative design is tailored for car enthusiasts, offering them a prime opportunity to display their cherished vehicles in customized, private settings.
The tower’s design, inspired by Professor F. A. Porsche’s philosophy of optimizing function while reducing form to essentials, incorporates state-of-the-art amenities, including a 25-meter swimming pool, a performance fitness center, a spa and social lounges. The top of the 21-story building is crowned with a light signature, a nod to Porsche’s iconic lighting designs, most recognizable on the 911, creating a striking presence in Bangkok’s skyline.
The construction of the Porsche Design Tower in Bangkok is slated to kick off next year, with a targeted completion date of late 2028. Despite the expensive price range for each unit, which goes from $15 million to $40 million USD, the project has garnered substantial attention from car enthusiasts. Similar to Porsche’s premium cars, these exclusive units can only be obtained through an application or invitation.
Stefan Buescher, the Chairman of Porsche Lifestyle Group’s Executive Board, expressed his enthusiasm about their collaboration with Ananda Development, signifying a significant step forward in their relentless pursuit of superior quality. The Porsche Design Tower Bangkok symbolizes an innovative blend of exceptional design and practical functionality. Our aim is to construct an environment that nurtures passion, ensuring that each project embodies individuality rather than just serving as living spaces.
Excitedly on the same wavelength, Chanond Ruangkritya, President and CEO of Ananda Development, declared, “We’re thrilled to unveil our partnership with Porsche Design. This collaboration underscores our shared conviction that passion drives innovation and pushes us towards greatness, a principle clearly demonstrated today in the vision for the Porsche Design Tower Bangkok. We firmly believe that the mutual passion between us, combined with Porsche’s expertise in luxury design and Ananda Development’s focus on precision in real estate development, will culminate in the creation of an extraordinary residential project.”
Beyond unveiling the Porsche Design Tower, Porsche Design also presented Curvistan – an exclusive venue, developed in partnership with Stefan Bogner, the founder of Curves Magazine. This space, which is already renowned in cities like Tokyo and Berlin, will function as a central hub for creative and cultural events in Bangkok. Curvistan, known for its fusion of automotive culture, art, and design, aims to bring together these elements in one location.
The space will host a variety of exhibitions, workshops and events that celebrate Porsche’s rich heritage and its ongoing commitment to innovation and design excellence. It will also offer a platform for local artists and creators to showcase their work, fostering a vibrant cultural exchange within the city.
Significantly, the concurrent debut of the Porsche Design Tower Bangkok and Curvistan demonstrate Porsche’s dedication to increasing its impact in Southeast Asia, a region that is becoming increasingly significant for the brand and nurturing dedicated fans. These projects aim to boost Porsche’s presence in Bangkok, while also showcasing the city as an emerging center for luxury lifestyle and cultural advancement.
Although the Porsche Design Tower is not yet ready for public access in the coming years, travelers to this bustling urban area can currently immerse themselves in Curvistan and its various offerings – an exciting and distinct experience that promises fresh discoveries with each visit as new exhibits, events, and guests continue to populate its spaces.
