Prime Video's No. 1 Movie Is The Most Underrated Horror Thriller This Year, And It Only Just Hit The Streamer

As a seasoned film enthusiast with a soft spot for horror genre and a keen eye for hidden gems, I must confess that the convenience of streaming platforms like Prime Video has been a game-changer in my cinematic journey. The ability to discover and indulge in lesser-known films such as Abigail is truly exhilarating!

One of the great benefits of streaming is that movies you love are usually just a couple of clicks away. If you have a Disney+ subscription, you can watch almost any great Disney movie anytime you want. However, the other great benefit of streaming is that countless movies you’ve never seen are just as accessible.

Many individuals often resort to streaming services for this specific reason, as it’s quite common that films which failed to draw crowds in cinemas can gain significant popularity on top-tier streaming platforms. The recent instance of such a phenomenon is the critically acclaimed horror movie, Abigail by Radio Silence, which has been underappreciated at the box office this year.

Abigail Is The Number One Movie On Prime Video

The movie “Abigail” made its debut on Prime Video on November 19, yet it’s already a smash hit among subscribers, currently ranking as the most-watched film on the platform. It’s plausible that many viewers have caught the film in cinemas earlier, but there will be a substantial number of people who are either eagerly anticipating its streaming release, or who stumbled upon it by chance.

Amazingly swift, Abigail has soared to the peak of Prime Video’s charts in merely a few short days. Evidently, news of this film has spread like wildfire. If you haven’t caught up with Abigail yet, I strongly recommend you do.

Why You Need To See Abigail

If you’re into horror movies, chances are you’ve come across Abigail. But even if horror isn’t your thing, give Abigail a chance – it might surprise you. While I don’t usually lean towards horror myself, I found Abigail to be a captivating watch. Yes, it’s gory and jump-scare heavy, but the over-the-top nature of the movie makes the horror aspect downright enjoyable. A key highlight: blood cannons!

Having been utterly captivated by Radio Silence’s previous masterpiece, “Ready or Not,” I eagerly anticipated their new release, “Abigail.” Upon its release earlier this year, I was thrilled for it as it seemed to be a close follow-up to “Ready or Not” that I had been hoping for. Although we now know a sequel to “Ready or Not” is in the works, “Abigail” serves as an excellent substitute until we finally get it.

If you find yourself here unaware of the intriguing tale of Abigail, I almost hesitate to reveal it as there lies a certain charm in the mystery that surrounds this film. Despite its marketing efforts not exactly cloaking the storyline, the movie itself seems to do so quite effectively. It’s fascinating to think that some viewers on Prime Video might be oblivious to the unfolding events, and they are undoubtedly having an unforgettable cinematic experience.
