Pup Champs offers adorable football puzzler action, coming soon to iOS and Android

  • Pup Champs is an upcoming iOS and Android release that mixes adorable pups and football
  • But it’s not a sports sim so much as a puzzler!
  • Move your team carefully, make passes and get that goal!

In the world of football games, I’ve witnessed countless unexpected turns, but with Pup Champs, this is my first encounter of cute canines playing it! And here’s the exciting part – if you share my enthusiasm, you won’t have to wait long since Pup Champs will be available on iOS and Android starting May 19th.

However, surprisingly, Pup Champs isn’t a sports simulator as one might expect. Instead, it’s a puzzle game! Your mission is to guide your team towards the goal by making passes and crosses to dodge tackles from the opposing team. This game is designed to be user-friendly, so you don’t need to understand the offside rule to triumph in these matches.

Even more excitingly, Pup Champs includes an inspiring backstory (as they put it themselves) when you take on the role of a retired soccer coach, helping your inexperienced team rise through the amateur football ranks and claim championship glory!

Take a dive

The game Pup Champs will initially be accessible at no cost, offering 20 brain teasers to kickstart players’ experience. To my astonishment, it turned out not to be a sports simulator! Given the renowned background of competitions such as the Puppy and Kitten Bowl, I assumed that integrating dogs with football was a foregone conclusion in our adorable-focused society.

Despite concerns that it might just be aesthetics over content, rest assured that developer Afterburn has a proven track record with games like Railbound, Golf Peaks, and Pulsar. Therefore, this adorable puzzle game boasts both talent and charm.

Discussing mobile applications, it’s essential to stay one step ahead of the competition. Fortunately, our feature named “Ahead of the Game” has just received an update. In this edition, our writer Catherine delves into the upcoming tower defense game called Sushimon, to find out if it’s worth playing or not.
