As a longtime fan of Rachel Zegler‘s acting abilities and now, her impeccable fashion sense, I was thrilled to see a throwback post from her ’90s photoshoot that resurfaced recently. It’s amazing how much her style has evolved since then, yet still holds onto the essence of that era.
Rachel Zegler has been impressing with her fashion choices as a celebrity for some time now, so let’s praise her accomplishments. Recently, during the weekend, Zegler showcased her fashion prowess by donning an iconic ’90s outfit reminisced by a stylist before she graced an event in a trendy 2024 dress that embodies summer vibes. Essentially, she’s been acing the red carpet scene, taking us on a nostalgic journey with her retro style and serving up modern glamour all at once.
Last summer, Zegler had a fondness for ’90s fashion and collaborated with stylist Sarah Slutsky on a photo shoot for Who What Wear. She described the experience as having a “charming, sultry summer Saturday feel ❤️,” and both she and Christine Hahn, who captured the images, expressed their delight. Zegler was reminiscing about the latex, exclaiming, “Wow, the latex!!,” adding an unexpected twist to the phrase “hot” girl summer. Meanwhile, Hahn referred to it as a “wonderful day.” Although this shoot took place some time ago, Zegler’s style selections from that period remain relevant and captivating.

In the ’90s style trend persists, Zegler opts for a different look this July. Rather than sporting liquid hair and latex, she chooses flowy outfits and lively prints. At the recent Swarovski event, she embraced the ’80s vibe in an Area dress, featuring pockets, priced at $1395. Accessorized with earrings, a shimmering necklace, and a striking ring from Swarovski, her attention-grabbing bling took center stage. However, I can’t help but be captivated by those functional pockets.
The dress boasted a playful allure with a prominent “heart-shaped crystal cluster” brooch adorning its front, drawing attention to the wearer’s chest area. This stylish number is perfect for transitioning from everyday life to the spotlight, and Zegler carried it off effortlessly with a black handbag and fashionable strappy sandals.
At the speaker series event, Zegler expressed regret that many of her films premiere during colder seasons. This trend holds true with recent releases like “The Hunger Games: Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.” Sadly, this means she misses out on wearing bright summer outfits. She told Harper’s Bazaar that as a result, she tends to wear jackets and stick to neutral colors.
In simpler terms, I seldom release new work during the summer months. Instead, it usually comes out towards the end of fall or even in the depths of winter, requiring me to don jackets and drab clothing. There’s little vibrancy involved.
As a fashion enthusiast and avid follower of the star’s style evolution, I must admit that this past weekend left me utterly thrilled. The two outfits she showcased were nothing short of brilliant and radiated an air of vibrancy, making them ideal additions to any summer wardrobe.
