As a seasoned veteran of the tactical FPS scene, I’ve witnessed the rise and fall of many contenders to Rainbow Six Siege’s throne. From the early console domination to the current battle royale craze, I’ve seen it all.
Rainbow Six stands out as one of the enduring tactical first-person shooter (FPS) games, making history by being the first to dominate the console market during an era when games like Counter-Strike held sway in the mouse-and-keyboard point-and-click genre.
Nonetheless, nowadays, there are a lot of competitors that need squatting.
In other words, Ubisoft appears to be preparing to introduce a new character in Rainbow Six Siege, which seems to be modeled after a character from an upcoming game.
Rainbow Six’s leaked Operator copies Spectre Divide
Here’s the Y9S3 new operator

Initially, several strategic game series with round-based mechanics have struggled to match the heights reached by Rainbow Six (R6). To begin with, Rogue Company is one of these games that failed to keep pace. However, VALORANT is currently attempting to scale the mountain, and FragPunk, along with Shroud’s upcoming game, Spectre Divide, will be launched in 2025.
The second option exhibits a brilliantly insane approach, so captivating that Rainbow Six finds themselves eager to incorporate it into their own title.
Forward comes the new Operator, who has been leaked as a wheelchair-confined tech-savvy engineer.
The nameless figure doesn’t personally join the fight, instead choosing to send her robotic allies to penetrate and secure structures as protection.
Much like Spectre Divide’s core idea, the new Operator seems capable of switching command between two robots she is managing – when one is under her direct command, the other robot will be protected by a shield.
“So Spectre Divide but in Siege,” one fan commented on Twitter.
As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but marvel at the unique charm of Spectre Divide. The game’s standout feature is that each of its three characters possesses a puck they can toss, which instantly summons a duo. This feature enables me to swiftly switch between these duos, strategically defending and attacking various zones. It’s an exhilarating experience that keeps me on my toes!
The new season also mocks Shroud’s game, naming itself “Operation Twin Shells“.
As a passionate gamer, I can’t help but notice the intriguing pattern emerging in our gaming world. It seems like every battle royale game is starting to resemble its counterparts more and more, making it hard to differentiate one from the other. And here we are, with Operator dropping so soon after Spectre Divide was announced – a timing that feels almost eerie.
Siege aspires to persistently outplay opponents in the realm of console tactical first-person shooter games, aiming to remain unchallenged at the summit. A ‘bot-versus-bot’ approach could potentially be the key to its success.
