As a dedicated fan who has followed Ranveer Singh’s journey from his vibrant Bollywood debut to his heartfelt tributes to sports stars, I can’t help but marvel at his genuine admiration for young talent like Lakshya Sen. His appreciation post for Lakshya was a perfect blend of awe and encouragement, capturing the essence of the athlete’s skill and resilience.
As the Summer Olympics 2024 wind down, the intense competition is nearing its end. Indian athletes have been commended by Bollywood figures for their stellar performances at these games in Paris. Most recently, badminton player Lakshya Sen experienced defeat in his bronze medal match, placing him fourth in the Men’s Singles event. Acknowledging Lakshya’s efforts is none other than Ranveer Singh, who has written a heartfelt tribute to him.
On August 6, 2024, Ranveer Singh used Instagram Stories to express his admiration for badminton player Lakshya Sen. He posted a picture of the athlete and lauded him with these words: “Look at this incredible player! His stamina, agility, variety of shots, concentration, determination, intelligence – it’s all on full display in his stunning performances!”
Reflecting on his close call at the Paris Olympics 2024, Ranveer shared, “It’s tough to fully capture how exceptional he’s been in the Olympics. I came up short by the tiniest of margins. However, he’s only 22 and he still has a long way to go.”
After delivering an inspiring message, the actor said, “Keep fighting, tomorrow’s another day. I am proud of you, starboy @senlakshya.”
Have a look at Ranveer’s story!
On August 5, Lakshya Sen fell short of securing a bronze medal in his match against Lee Zii Jia from Malaysia, even though he had won the opening game. So far, India has garnered three Olympic 2024 medals, all of them being bronzes, and these were earned through shooting competitions. Manu Bhaker claimed the initial bronze in the women’s 10m Air Pistol event, followed by another bronze alongside Sarabjot Singh in the mixed team 10m Air Pistol event. Swapnil Kusale secured the third medal for India in the Men’s 50m Rifle 3P competition.
On the professional side of Ranveer Singh, he’s currently immersed in filming his upcoming movie with Aditya Dhar. The movie was officially announced in July, but they haven’t disclosed its title as yet. Apart from Ranveer, the cast includes Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Akshaye Khanna.
In addition to starring in a movie directed by Aditya Dhar, Ranveer is also preparing for the third part of the well-known Don series. He will be teaming up with filmmaker Farhan Akhtar on Don 3, and Kiara Advani has been confirmed as the female lead.
